We live in a Wonderland
Yes
I had the mixed blessing of being raised by a man born in rural Mississippi in 1925. The privations that my father experienced in his life were profound. He never talked at great length about his life. There were just so many profound moments of observation.
I am bemused to hear of our current economic discomfort compared to the Great Depression. Literally, US citizens starved to death during the Great Depression.
I wake every day knowing we live in a wonderland. We have it good. Very good.
