Helicopter Parents
Helicopter parents is a term used for the hovering and over-involved mothers and fathers of contemporary America.

I ask you to think of this (which is a little off topic but related): How much of our modern social resources are wasted addressing very low incident traumatic events? Child abuse is my main concern in this post. How many "just to be safe" investigations are launched every day? Yet, are we actively investigating and saving the children who desparately need our help?
